Preparation for consultative engagement with prospects will be crucial, requiring diligent research to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the prospective customers' industries and the specific business challenges they face. Collaboration is key; you will work effectively with Staples office products Key Account Managers, Business Development Executives, and other Staples Category sales teams to secure contractual relationships in the technology category as part of a broader customer relationship with Staples. Additionally, you will partner with the Sales Support Team to enhance customer response times and provide valuable input to sales leadership regarding new potential programs and initiatives. Effective communication with C-Level executives within our customer base and prospects, as well as direct engagement with our vendor partners at a senior executive level, will be essential to your success.
Responsibilities
Aggressively pursue targeted Enterprise accounts within designated territories.
Execute Total Sales strategies to convert targeted prospects into active opportunities.
Position Staples Technology Solutions as the preferred solution for decision makers and influencers within IT and Procurement departments.
Prepare for consultative engagement with prospects through thorough research.
Collaborate with Staples office products Key Account Managers and Business Development Executives to secure contractual relationships.
Work with the Sales Support Team to improve customer response times.
Provide input to sales leadership regarding new potential programs and initiatives.
Communicate effectively with C-Level executives and vendor partners.
Requirements
High School Diploma/GED
3+ years of demonstrated successful strategic relationship-building and solution-selling experience in the Fortune 1000 and/or Global 500 market.
Nice-to-haves
5+ years of demonstrated successful IT strategic relationship-building and solution-selling experience in the Fortune 1000 and/or Global 500 market.
