About the position

CrowdStrike is seeking highly motivated and self-driven technical analysts who are dedicated to enhancing global security by protecting organizations from advanced cyber threats. The role is situated within our CrowdStrike virtual security operations center, which provides a unique opportunity to expand your skill set through diverse experiences in real-time incident detection and response for our customers. This position is specifically open to candidates located in Texas. As an Analyst on the Endpoint Protection Team, you will be challenged to apply your hands-on technical skills in detecting, containing, and remediating incidents. We are looking for individuals who are self-motivated and eager to rapidly develop their skills in a dynamic environment. If you have a background in Incident Response or Information Security that you feel is underutilized, this is an excellent opportunity to leverage your expertise. You will also have the chance to lead teams and engage with customers, working alongside like-minded professionals who are equally passionate about cybersecurity. In this role, you will exercise incident handling processes across various platforms, including Windows, Mac, and Linux. You will perform basic malware analysis and work on developing and improving processes for incident detection and the execution of countermeasures. Additionally, you will be responsible for producing high-quality written and verbal communications, recommendations, and findings for customer management. You will also have the opportunity to demonstrate thought leadership in the industry through blog posts, CrowdCasts, and public speaking events.

Responsibilities

  • Exercise incident handling processes across Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms.
  • Perform basic malware analysis.
  • Develop and improve processes for incident detection and the execution of countermeasures.
  • Produce high-quality written and verbal communications, recommendations, and findings to customer management.
  • Demonstrate industry thought leadership through blog posts, CrowdCasts, and other public speaking events.

Requirements

  • Experience in incident handling, conducting or managing incident response for organizations.
  • Background in computer forensic analysis using various forensic analysis tools.
  • Understanding of system internals for implementing and executing countermeasures and remediation.
  • Knowledge of network protocols and analysis tools, with the ability to analyze network logs.
  • Ability to perform static and dynamic malware analysis.
  • Strong understanding of targeted attacks and ability to create tactical and strategic remediation plans.
  • Strong understanding of secure network architecture and background in network operations.
  • Experience coding in C, C#, VB, Python, Perl, Ruby on Rails, and .NET.
  • Capable of completing technical tasks without supervision.
  • Desire to grow and expand both technical and soft skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Contributing thought leader within the incident response industry.
  • Ability to foster a positive work environment and attitude.
