The Applied Machine Learning (AML) Data Science team is a group of innovative ML scientists and engineers from diverse disciplines with extensive track records in both academia and industry. Our team works on many high-impact projects, building powerful machine learning models that serve various lines of business and enrich end-user experiences.

 As an ML Engineer, you will play a crucial role in bringing these models to life. Your work will focus on operationalizing and productionalizing these solutions, ensuring they integrate seamlessly with our platforms and deliver amazing user experiences.

You'll work on dynamic projects that shape the industry, leveraging your expertise in software engineering to deploy our pioneering models and algorithms in various enterprise scenarios.

Description

 The ML Engineer will work on solving real-world business problems by building and deploying machine learning models into scalable web applications and backend services.

You will be responsible for integrating various technologies to operationalize models, creating seamless and impactful user experiences.

 This role requires hands-on experience with Python for backend development and integration, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.

In addition to coding, you will collaborate closely with ML scientists and cross-functional partners to articulate technical methodologies and bring models into production environments.

 You’ll contribute to creating solutions that directly enhance user interactions and impact the overall user experience. If you have frontend development experience, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the user interface (UI) of our ML-driven applications, driving how users interact with our models.

 We are looking for a creative problem solver with a solid background in backend development, API integration, and scalable application deployment.

Familiarity with large-scale datasets, data-driven applications, and machine learning model deployment will be highly valued. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside dedicated colleagues, brainstorm new ideas, and build solutions that drive significant business outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

2+ years of industry experience with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related technical field.

Strong hands-on experience in software engineering, with expertise in Python for backend development and integration.

Strong problem-solving skills, creativity in finding effective solutions, and the ability to work in a cross-functional team.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with frontend development using React ,JS or similar frameworks. Proven experience in deploying machine learning models into production environments.

5+ years of industry experience. Experience handling large-scale datasets and data-driven applications. Master's degree or PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Science,

Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

Strong understanding of web security best practices and performance optimization.

Pay & Benefits At

Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.

 This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.

 The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.

 Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
